How to order

Bill Bird Shoes are available to personal shoppers at our workshop in the

Cotswolds and our clinic in London. Regretfully, we cannot do mail order or

home visits because of the precision needed in the fitting. If you would like to

make an appointment, please call us on 01386 700855.

How long does it take? You will need to visit us at least four times during the

making process. The first appointment can usually be made within two weeks,

however our waiting time for finished shoes can vary from 6 weeks to four

months (ask for an estimated time for completion when you order).

Subsequent orders can often be completed more quickly.

Weekly updated completion dates If you order in the week beginning September 22nd 2008, your order will be finished by the third week in January 2009.

How much does it cost?
The prices for men and women are:

Lasts £355(+VAT)

Shoes £732 - £948 (+VAT)

Computer Gait Analysis £135 (+ VAT) (optional) includes both initial and final assessments

Why do we cost so much less? Although our prices seem very high to those

who have never had shoes made before, we are half the price of many of our

competitors. This is because we pay much less for our overheads because we

are not in the centre of a city. We are also a small dedicated team who have

worked well together for years, so we have very little staff turnover. Our shoes

and service are equal if not superior to footwear that is twice the price.

Help for your Budget Hand-made shoes may seem expensive at first,

particularly when compared to the average cost of shop-bought shoes. The real

difference comes in the level of comfort we can give you. Many people who

suffer in their usual footwear find they can wear their made-to-measure shoes

every day, often all day without the stress they normally experience. Even so,

we realise it is a lot of money to spend on something you may never have tried

before so have made it easier for you to buy your shoes by spreading the

payment into instalments over the time it takes to make your shoes.
