Shoes for

Children

We do not usually make

shoes for children at

Bill Bird Shoes.

This is because they

grow so fast that their shoes could be

outgrown before they

are finished!

Most Children these days would

rather wear ‘designer brand’ shoes

and may even get bullied if they

don’t have them.

Even with our fun designs!

We have a soft spot for children,

however, and regularly make

shoes for children

with extreme foot conditions.

If your child is really in trouble

and needs something specially

made, then please contact a

member of our staff on

01386 700855 where we

will only be too pleased

to talk with you.

If we believe we can help and there

is no alternative we can think of,

then we will help your child for

a fraction of the normal cost.

Your child would have to have

a last made.

A last is the wooden form

that a shoe is made on.

It would be made to the shape

and size of your child's feet.

This could be built-up over

the years as your child grows.

One of the main conditions

that we help children with

is extremely fragile skin.

We have a wide range of soft, soothing

materials at hand as well as a lot of

experience making shoes which care

for delicate skin whilst protecting the

child from the wild environment of

the school playground.

Each shoe is thought out

and carefully designed

with your child's condition in mind.
